In a world where acts of kindness and compassion make all the difference, we decided that a touch of sweetness, community spirit, and a love for animals could create a meaningful impact this August. Hence, on the 18th of August, the Pacific Health & Wellbeing Brisbane team hosted a cupcake stall to support RSPCA’s annual cupcake day campaign, an endeavour designed to gather funds for the charity.
RSPCA, short for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is a beacon of hope for many animals in need. A non-government, community-based charity, the RSPCA is devoted to rescuing, treating, and rehoming animals. Caring for an astonishing 45,000 animals annually, RSPCA’s commitment knows no bounds. Their work extends across all states in Australia, where they have established centers to care for animals ranging from native wildlife to domestic pets and farm animals.
Beyond providing shelter for animals in need, the RSPCA also engages in a range of other initiatives. These include running rehoming shelters, investigating and prosecuting animal cruelty complaints, educating communities on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership, and advocating for policy changes that enhance animal welfare. Their multifaceted approach highlights the dedication of the RSPCA to creating a world where animals are treated with compassion and respect.
Driven by our love for animals, our team decided to lend support to the RSPCA by hosting a cupcake stall at our Nundah office. Our incredible team baked an array of delectable treats. We are thankful to the local businesses and community members who came together to purchase cupcakes and make generous donations.
The outcome was heartwarming - a total of $450.59 was raised, all of which will directly benefit RSPCA’s tireless efforts to rescue and care for animals in need.
